Never a dull moment in Glade Art updates!
This week we have had several noticeable upgrades: a better recommendations algorithm in the feed and a page that displays the site statistics.
The new algorithm favors new posts at the top of the feed page with popular, older posts below them. This change was made because with the previous algorithms the popular old posts "swamped" the new posts, regardless of the new posts' priority. This rework fixes that issue. Do you like the old one more? Do you have feedback? Share your requests somewhere in Glade Art, in the Discord server, or through email.
Transparency is key! A publicly accessible site stats page has been released. This has been planned to be made for a long time. This page shows a bunch of metrics regarding the platform. For example the total amount of users, images uploads, videos uploaded, posts, etc. Check it out here: https://gladeart.com/stats
Additionally, as always, there have been a bunch of backend upgrades which are not noticeable or visible to users. I won't bore you with those lol.
We had a rather funny April Fools Day as all view, comment, and like numbers on every post had a K added to the end of them. This made every post to appear "viral." Peak komedy.
Anyways, tomorrow (April 5th, 2026) it will be Glade Art's first anniversary! This is by no means a small milestone for this community, so there will be some special stuff tomorrow. So thanks for reading and stay tuned!
