Glade Art updates log, June 2nd, 2026:

Sup guys, let's go over our GA updates we've had recently. Massive bloat removal from the GA blog. It no longer extends layout.html (which also sent a 54kb CSS file and fonts), so much unecessary bandwidth has been reduced. It has a simple header and footer with links back to the / and /feed. Also an 'intelligent' mechanism has been added: if over 2000 requests in the blog in under 5 minutes, then blog images are only showed to logged-in users. This is to keep things steady when articles blow up. When an article with an image gets 10,000 loads in an hour, that adds up. blog_detail.html is 13.8kb large. That's it, no etra CSS sent or fonts when loading it. Then add the text of the blog article. The images vary in size, but we have the "ultra high intelligence" safety mechanism to fair for that. Now we can handle much more load on the blog. Massive UX upgrades for users inside the site.
